all i want is tattoos and my parents wont get me them, so i need something else for them to get me, and i have no ideas. i like electronics stuff but i already have an ipod, a laptop, a new phone, a computer, pretty much everything. i like music but they wouldnt know what to get me. i like art but again they wouldnt know what to get me.

so idk just whatever you think would be cool to get.
they refuse to give me money lol, because they know id just go finish my halfsleave

if you like music but don’t trust them to buy it ask for an itunes card so you can download music for your ipod. you can ask for one of those big tricked out art kits or materials that you like to use but wouldn’t normally buy or be able to afford. also computer accessories might be nice, like extra memory or something if you’re thinking of doing more art/graphic design on your computer….yeah that’s all i can think of right now. merry christmas!

My husband is working on his third Christmas in Iraq so I know it can be a mind boggler to figure out what to send. Send him things to do, like movies, hand held video games, or an MP3 player if he has access to a computer. Part of my husband’s gift last year was a subscription to his favorite magazine and I send it over every month as soon as it gets here. Doing that is like Christmas all year long. Also send him some things he can decorate his room with like blankets and posters from his favorite sports team or TV show (their rooms can be pretty depressing with just a mattress on a cot) and maybe a small photo book with copies of your favorite pictures of the two of you together. Dart boards are a big hit because they can all gather together and play a game on their days off or they can play alone when they need to unwind. Don’t forget a stocking full of his favorite goodies (you can send homemade cookies that’ll make it there in one piece if you bubble wrap them and the container you put them in). Also I know that comfy lounging clothes are much appreciated since they don’t take very many with them (if you haven’t already sent new socks you might want to think about doing that too, they can get pretty gross pretty fast over there). Think of things that are his hobby and send those, model cars, poker chips and cards, etc. Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll love whatever you send him because it’s a little piece of home.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year but this is our first Christmas together. I already bought him some cologne but it’s not enough and I always get him clothes for everything else. He’s laid back, semi-metro (and he dresses dressy-casual), likes sports/working out, listens to a lot of music. I’m on a budget this year so I cant afford anything expensive, but I really want to get him something special/creative. Any Ideas??

Maybe something to help him work out with, you said you are on a budget so maybe by a gift card for mp3 downloads for his mp3 player so he can listen to it while working out. Or you can make him a gift basket of stuff to work out with, water bottles, gatorade, protein bars etc and for after shower gels, towels, body wash etc.

In years past, the "Air Hogs" line of flying, remote control toys made a hit so I can’t do that again this year. Because Chicago is a cold-weather area with lots of snow, outdoor-type toys or gifts have limited use unless they are cold-weather hardy or designed for use in snow. His mother always gets him practical things like clothes so he looks to me, his Dad, to get him cooler stuff that maybe others haven’t gotten or that his friends don’t have. So I’m looking for something that will generate that "Oh Wow!" experience when he opens it on Christmas Day. He will be with his mother then so I won’t get to see him open his presents. Ergo, I want to be represented there with something impressive but not outrageously priced since I’m not exactly a Rockerfeller yet and send most of my disposable income to their mother for child support. I love my children and want to bring them something heartfelt that shows thoughtfulness and understanding of their age. Your suggestions?
