She’s very girly and her favorite color is purple. I don’t want to get the regular run of the mill gift card or something not thoughtful. She’s becoming a nice part of our family.
Thanks for any ideas!!!

Christmas gift ideas for my sisters?

Posted by admin on Apr 5, 2010 under Christmas Gift Ideas

I have two sisters one 14 and one 18 and I’m trying to think of good christmas gift ideas. I’m getting the 14 year old a mac lipgloss and the 18 year old a mac lipstick. But I was thinking I want to get them a little something else so that I spend around thirty dollars each and so the present feels a bit bigger…
Any thoughts on gift ideas under $10-15?

A Nice bracelet, or a necklace.

What are some inexpensive Christmas gift ideas for grandparents?

Posted by admin on Apr 2, 2010 under Christmas Gift Ideas

My daughter will be 15 months at Christmas…we are extremely tight on money. What would be a good gift for the grandparents from all of us?

Go to a craft store like Michaels and take along your 40% off coupon from the Sunday paper. Buy some ‘Model Magic’. It’s like playdoh but lighter and air dries. Roll out some about 1/2" thick and then have your daughter press her hand into it. When it dries, you can coat it with clear craft paint or leave it as is. Glue a magnet on the back of it and it is the best refrigerator magnet. I gave these to my daughter’s grandparents four years ago and they STILL have them on the fridge and STILL love them.

If you are looking for a gift for them from just you and your husband consider a small basket of old time candies. If you go to Cracker Barrel they have a bunch of different kinds. Older folks appreciate gifts of food and they will have a good time eating their way down memory lane. Hope this helps!

Stores & What I Got There:

Dollar Tree (Hannah Montana night light, Hannah Montana socks, snow man pot holder, snow man oven glove, snow man towel, coffee mug, stocking- everything was only $1 each!)

Family Dollar (silver ring with a Christmas ornament case- $2.50)

Dollar General (‘Follow Your Heart’ silver necklace- $3)

Other Ideas:

Clearance!- Check the clearance parts of your favorite stores, it’s a cheap way to find some great gifts.

Walmart- check out the gift set aisle! (that’s also where my sister found the eye makeup set i’m wearing in this- it was $3)

Coupons!- use any store discount coupons you have, and put the credit towards a gift.

Make something!- Sometimes you can make a really cute and unique gift yourself. My sister is making jewelry for a lot of her gifts.

Remember just be creative, put your own touch on things, and above all, HAVE A FUN HOLIDAY!

Christmas gift ideas for my boyfriend?

Posted by admin on Mar 28, 2010 under Christmas Gift Ideas

I’ve been searching for the perfect Christmas gift for him (:

Any ideas? I’m totally open to any suggestions.
Thank you!

How about a promise ring? Or if you’re not into that sort of thing, just a casual ring for him to wear. Have something nice engraved on the inside of the band. Like both of your initials together, or the date you started going out, or maybe a lyric from your relationship song. If he’s not into rings, maybe a dog tag necklace, a bracelet, or a watch? Either way you go, jewelry can be very special when engraved.

You could get him a nice picture frame with your best picture together in it. The store Things Remembered has some lovely frames. Here’s the link to the store’s website:

Another great idea would be to do the 365 things I love about you. That’s one reason per every day of the year! It’s very romantic and a perfect way to express your feelings towards someone. You write out the reasons either in a book, or on small pieces of paper which you can put in a nice box or jar. If you can come up with that amount of reasons – then you truly love that person. If you want to be less dramatic, you can also do the top 12 reasons I love about you. That fits with the "12 days of Christmas" theme. Personally, I LOVE this idea and am starting on doing it for my boyfriend.

Make him up a stocking as a side present. Include boxers, cologne, candy, and various other small gifts. If you’re in a sexual relationship and feel comfortable, you could add some sexy lingerie at the bottom. Also, you can make home-made coupons for various things of your choice.
