10 Top Christmas Gifts

What is a creative alternative to the traditional couple christmas gift exchange? Me and my boyfriend dont like the idea of the traditional gift exchange. What are some ideas that you guys use or might have?

Go somewhere or do something you both really enjoy. Split the cost. It can be your gift to each other. Or make homemade coupons like for backrubs or anything you don’t normally do that he wants you to do.

Normally we do the "Secret Santa" gift exchange where ahead of time we draw names and buy a gift for a specific person. That won’t work out for us this year so we plan to just bring a gender specific gift (guys bring a guy gift, girls bring a girl gift).

Is there a game we can play to exchange these gifts that doesn’t involve stealing? My mother is VERY opposed to that and will not allow it. I read the game idea where a story is read and you move the gifts either to the left or right.

But are there any other ideas??

u can put a string on each gift and cover the gifts, and let each person pull a string?
or put a number on each gift and have each girl pull one number out of a basket, which ever number they get is the gift they get (that’s what we Always do)
or just let each persong choose a wrapped gift in order of age or so…. or have christmas questions and who ever guesses it first gets to choose the first gift?

After our traditional Christmas lunch we always have a gift exchange with arcane rules that some relish, others don’t (you know who you are!)
